“I bought this paint in England for our house in France that we are renovating. The walls are lime-mortared and the previous paint had a similar finish, which I wanted to re-create. I’m very pleased with the paint I bought. I purchased 3 tins so that I would have plenty for our large ground floor. Application of this paint wasn’t like any paint I’ve used before. When you apply the first coat, it looks very thin, and you can see all the marks underneath but I was surprised when it dried how good the coverage was. In the end I needed 3 coats, but it has given a lovely authentic chalky, muted finish. I would definitely recommend this company. The paint containers are very strong and the lids open with a bracket - so no need for levering up awkward lids with a screwdriver! The next day delivery was amazing - I couldn’t believe how easily it arrived (in good time for our road trip down to France) ”

“Does exactly what it says on the tin . I only needed 4 coats to change yellow wall ( painted either you yellow or) to get the fabulous white . Only thing I would say is our tin had a few black hairs in our tin of paint ”

“I bought Lakeland Paints Limewash to cover Diathonite insulating plaster. The first thing to be aware of is that the lid of the tin can be removed from the side. Unable to see how this worked, I called Lakeland Paints for help. I felt rather foolish, but they assured me that other people experienced the same issue, and the design of the lid means that it can be replaced neatly. I found the limewash easy to use on both Diathonite, which is a lime plaster, and gypsum plaster, though it is important to follow the instructions. Coverage was good, and the limewash dried quickly, with a subsequent coat giving a dense colour. Limewash has more 'character' than emulsion and is breathable, essential when painting lime plaster. Lakeland Paints staff were helpful and efficient. I hope to purchase from them again. ”
