Nursery Paints - ALL of our paints & varnishes except limewash are fine to use in a nursery setting - All are Toys EN71/395 compliant and harmless if chewed & eaten, but these specialized Nursery Paints just go the extra mile for if you want the ultimate in care for your baby or child.

If you are expecting or have a new-born and are considering preparing a nursery for use in your home, it is important for it to be decorated with safe, resilient paints. Available in 180 colours, our nursery paint has a coverage area of up to 60m2 per 5 litres/per coat, as well as being super-tough, this washable wall paint will help to avoid the normally inevitable stains. Our child safe paint is entirely organic and non-toxic, so even those who are pregnant can use it completely safely.

Of course, if you're painting a room that is going to be used by your child or toddler, using a safe paint is of the utmost priority. That's why our paint range is free from the solvents and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that are normally found in paints. We have had our products independently tested to ensure that they are EN71:3 compliant, meaning that you can apply it without worrying about the risk of headaches, nausea, or harm to your child.

I am very pleased with the quality and colour of this paint. There were no odours and I rest assured that there are no harmful chemicals within it. Yes, it is expensive, but in the long run it will be worth the extra expense. The company is great to deal with - these people are serious and take pride in their paints. Well done! I would definitely recommend the paint and the company.
We really like the finished product and it’s wonderful to be painting with a product that is so much healthier, but for a total of £105 (including the delivery) it is prohibitively expensive - 3 times more expensive than farrow and ball per litre! £79.90 for the Lakeland vs £26.50 for the farrow and ball. (Although it must be noted that the minimum amount of FB you can buy is 2.5L). Nevertheless this is way out of reach for most. We decided to dig deep because it’s for our nursery for our first baby and as I suffer from asthma, live in London (a city which routinely exceeds legal limits of pollutants in the air) we were determined to give our first as pollutant free an environment as possible. But why so expensive Lakeland??
